Pointless.

Well as you remembered. I said i'm getting sick and tired of these things being around all the freaking time. Anyways CGI around the 90s i think started when Toy Story was made. Everyone thought it was amazing and was the best thing ever. As a kid. I didn't really care about the CGI. I did like the movie yes. But, I had always prefer hand drawn animation. Animation in a way is suppose to bright and colorful or dark and mysterious and the best part about it. Its suppose to help you escape from this crappy reality. Sadly. in the early 2010s. CGI has been everywhere. If you think i'm overreacting look at most of the recent animated movies. I don't remember much of them being hand drawn at all. Even previews that played before Frozen started was mostly CGI and sometimes the CGI animation looks so cheap and lazy that the characters almost look like their toys. Now this is why it works with the Toy Story movies. They still had some realistic stuff in the animation for the human characters. But, The toys looked like actual toys. Now with most new tv shows or shitty kiddy movies almost all of them look like toys. and also even in live action movies CGI is being overused. Look at the Amazing Spider man movies. I did not like the first one very much at all. The 2nd one was better. But, With how they make Spider man movie is just so unrealistic. I know their trying to have him move like a spider. But, Still. It looks like Peter is breaking his bones from moving around like that. Most of the time with CGI today. The non human characters or some other stuff doesn't even feel like their there. I know they use CGI so they would not in danger the actors. But, Still. They use it all the time even when the characters are not in danger. They even remade some movies just to add some CGI in it. I know movie directors wanted more from the movies they made. But, That doesn't mean they have to make things look more unrealistic then they already were. Now back with the CGI animation thing. I had always had a problem when it comes to new cartoons being made. Most of them are CGI animation and i want to say this. The CGI animation looks terrible on some of the shows. Their barely trying anymore to make the animation look appealing. Look at Fanboy and Chum Chum. Their style was really ugly and painful to look at. The only time i liked CGI is in video games cuz that is understandable. The best CGI animation i ever saw was in Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. In a way. It still gets people to escape from reality even though it has that realistic feel in it. I mean the style was great on the characters and the background in the game at the right places of the game is peaceful. If you go to the fishing area in the game you will feel like your actually fishing. I hate fishing and yet i find it more fun doing it in the game then i do in real life. I wish CGI could be like this. Then probably i would not have such a grudge on it. CGI can at times be good. Frozen felt like a hand drawn animated movie when it was in CGI. That's what made it so special with its animation. I did like Tangled and Wreck It Ralph. But, They were just normal CGI. With Frozen. It made it something else and i hope Disney keeps doing that. I do hope to see hand drawn animation from them again though.

Now too 3D. People are praising to much and thinks that 3D makes movies automatically good and cool. Well i saw the new Godzilla movie in theaters at june. It was ok. But, Most of it was just boring. Even the 3D didn't get me to be that amazed. The ads for 3D says for people to see the movie in 3D. This is what i think its saying. "Hey. Did you see that movie ? Was it good or bad ? Well goo see it in 3D even when its a crappy movie. The 3D will  turn a bad movie into a good movie." Yeah that sums up the ads. I also hate those stupid glasses. When i put them on they make me feel embarrass. They just make me look really stupid with them on. Also those blue and red ones and even the none color ones gives me headaches and hurts my eyes. I just think the 3D thing is just a waste of money and also pointless.

Now we movie on to the last thing, Blu Ray. this whole thing started around 2008 or so. When i heard about it i was wondering why their selling something like this. Their saying that seeing a movie in Blu Ray is better then seeing a normal DVD movie. The problem is. The machines and the Blu Ray disks are really high. Frozen at Wal Mart costs nearly 40 bucks when the DVD copy was 25. The machines are also a heart stoppep. I saw one yesterday being at 160 bucks when you can get a normal DVD player for 60 bucks. That's right. Their make people waste money all cuz they say their better in Blu Ray and it is also stupid that they have some extra stuff only for the Blu Ray. There is even a rumor saying that Blu Ray might replace DVD just like DVD did with VHS. I can understand why VHS was replace. But, Blu Ray ? They even keep making new versions each year and my dad waste his money just to keep getting new versions. Well. I'll stick with my normal DVD while most other people waste their money on a money sucker.

It's all a fad. Eventually, 3D won't be as cool, but Blu Ray has a purpose, or at least it did. It played HD but now you can get an HDMI for cheap and it works exactly the same, if not better.
